SLR15 Rifle Specs - Rear Site Aperature
We use a same plane rear sight aperature, where the industry standard is a Military A2 style.
The A2 style has a large hole for engagements from 0-200M, and a small hole for 300-600/800M.
What we have found is that most Operators will switch to their small aperature at about 40yds to allow them greater ease of use with accuracy.
On the A2 rear sight aperature the small hole and large hole are bored on different planes, and when you switch from the large aperature to the small aperature at 100yds, it raises the shot group approximately 6-1/2 high above the zeroed line of sight.
On the Same Plane Rear Sight Aperature that we use, when you switch from between the large and small aperature, there is no change in zero.
