Fall is here, the leaves are changing and days are getting shorter in Minnesota. It's true there are fewer bugs, but snow can come at any time. We look forward to our Cold Weather classes.
The 3rd Annual 5 Gun Event is October 7th at Westbranch Gun Club in Princeton.
Note that outdoor classes will resume after the deer rifle in season is over.
Check the schedule and register early.

Top Instructors
The September 2007 issue mentioned Greg "Sully" Sullivan in the "Letters to the Editor" section. Sully was mentioned as a handful of top instructors, according to Denny Hansen.

Welcome to the October edition of the Defensive Edge SLR15 Rifles Newsletter!
We are very honored to have the custom SLR15 Grail Rifle built for Rich Lucibella featured on the October 2007 cover issue of SWAT magazine, with an article by Pat Rogers.
This summer and early fall, we have been fortunate to meet new friends and students in Kansas, Illinois, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
As fall approaches, outdoor range time is limited due to the weather. However, we are training regularly - check out our training calendar for a course near you and remember, CY6. |

SLR15 Grail Featured in SWAT Magazine Defensive Edge SLR15 Rifles is honored to have the SLR15 Grail Rifle reviewed by Pat Rogers in the October 2007 issue of SWAT Magazine. Read the entire article (reprinted with permission from SWAT Magazine, copyright 2007).
Our Staff named the SLR15 Grail after finding that this particular configuration shoots like no other rifle that we have ever built.
The SLR15 Grail is the product of many years of research, development, testing, and our experiences in shooting.
The configuration of the SLR15 Grail configuration allows for what has been described to us by users as a "perfect harmony."
It is chambered in 5.56 Nato with a free float 16" lightweight chrome lined barrel.
Some of the features include Forged 7075 upper and lower receivers, a Sully Stock, and Ergo Grip.
It will be offered with an Aimpoint Optic package that includes a Larue mount.
Note that the SLR15 Grail Rifle does not allow for customization of the stock or other key components. |

United States Flag Flown at Camp Adder-Ali Air Base for Defensive Edge
One of our esteemed Alumni, Flattop2004, recently returned from service for the Minnesota Air National Guard.
We were honored to receive a United States flag from him recently, with the certificate which reads:
This Flag Was Flown At Camp Adder-Ali Air Base, Iraq, On this Day, 25 June 2007.
